WHAT TO EXPECT

Product Development Engineering is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.

Specifically, this team is the key technical department for the Architecture creation process, leading the engineering from concept to delivery. As Architecture Analyst you’ll set and ensure achievement of attribute targets through benchmarking, and contribute to the reporting of key technical meetings, ensuring our products exceed customer expectations.

 

You’ll work on the successful resolution of technical conflicts, often requiring pioneering solutions and deployment of innovative systems, to achieve the overall product assumptions and attributes in line with the target costs, weight, JLR standards, and architecture commonality. Additionally, you will be supporting and assisting in the creation and technical validation of the product cycle plan proposals. This requires working with multiple functions to compile robust component assumptions, you’ll interpret data to develop the requirements and features chosen for future products.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the Architecture Analyst you’ll need experience of automotive technical analysis and be able to demonstrate an adherence to best-in-class processes wherever possible. Technical knowledge and experience of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle engineering would be beneficial, along with some attribute knowledge of target setting & benchmarking. Due to the nature of this role, you’ll also need to be competent working with technical data. You'll need to demonstrate high levels of drive, personal organisation and the ability to see the critical path.
