WHAT TO EXPECT
Our Product Creation and Delivery System (PCDS) is the enterprise framework that we use to deliver new vehicles from concept to production. It’s a complex, cross-functional tool that allows us to produce wold class products effectively.
As a Process Engineer, you’ll be tasked with creating the next generation PCDS that will enable us to achieve key improvements to our current and future vehicle programmes. You’ll deliver multiple work stream process maps, analysing and optimising the critical path through the entire network and developing relationships with key work stream owners.
A major part of this role will be to create effective processes, operating models, governance and practical tools - taking responsibility for the development (work-stream leader) of new and modified improvement projects that deliver effective and efficient engineering. You’ll also lead discussions at working and Director level whilst also ensuring that new processes/tools are effectively deployed into the our business, developing and delivering training and coaching material where appropriate.
You’ll be an advocate and leader, using LEAN principles, 6-sigma methodology and the application of local process improvement methods.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll need to bring experience of working within an automotive engineering environment, using process engineering and re-engineering to improve and introduce internal systems, processes, and best practice engineering solutions.
As well as the ability to map out and plan timings, costs and process activities using root cause analysis and critical path analysis, you’ll also have exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
You’ll also bring an analytical approach to this role which includes displaying a good understanding of Google Tools and Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A relevant engineering degree is preferred and any exposure on end to end PCDS frameworks is beneficial. Previous exposure to the automotive engineering industry is also highly advantageous.
