WHAT TO EXPECT

To enable Jaguar Land Rover to meet our ambitious global expansion plans, Centres of Excellence (CoE) are being established as part of the development of a class leading, high performing and best practice Process Organisation.

The CoE’s will allow the organisation to develop and support a population of functional experts who will bring specific process and application insight.  This insight will allow us to achieve the greatest business value from the significant and on-going investment we are making in new plants and by providing the expertise and rigour to continually refine and improve the definition and deployment of our end to end business processes used in each of our global operating locations.

This Process Integration Senior Manager Role sits within the Enterprise Operating Model (EOM) CoE which is accountable for managing the transformational activity related to the development and deployment of business processes across Jaguar Land Rover. The scope of this role includes the data our processes require to operate and how we manage and measure the activity of business readiness in the deployment phase. The core responsibility of the Process Integration team within the EOM CoE is to ensure Jaguar Land Rover has an integrated, efficient and effective process landscape to execute our functional processes in support of our business as usual operations.

IN THE ROLE YOU’LL

Head of the development of a baseline of functional processes, across the IT Enabled Enterprise end to end processes, capable of being deployed in any Jaguar Land Rover location, and ensure maximisation of standardisation of processes across our SAP active locations, minimise variation of these business processes. You will ensure compliance to business policies and processes and external regulatory requirements (SoX, finance audit, etc) and take responsibility for running an effective Global council for business processes. Key to the role is to develop a strong, robust and compliant business improvement road map, and ensure that the business processes are measureable against KPI’s.

This role comes with the responsibility to recruit and build and grow a direct team as well as a virtual team of process owners from across the enterprise. You will establish and oversee the implementation of an enterprise process governance roadmap and create and execute an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of process accuracy, content quality and governance metrics. This role will see you defining roles and responsibilities related to process governance and ensure clear accountability for process ownership, both within core functions and in the programmes / operational sites. You will serve as a liaison between Functional areas and IT to ensure that the business requirements for processes are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritisation and planning.

In this role you will systematically work through each end to end process to ensure completeness.  This will require facilitation of cross functional workshops to lead the creation of gaps in our processes (particularly where there is no single functional owner). You work with the IT function, develop an integrated business / IT project management approach for delivering our solutions to ensure business and IT activities are complementary and effective. Furthermore you will define performance and quality metrics to measure process performance and user adherence to support a CI focus as well as build a core capability of process improvement expertise that can be deployed into process areas to deliver a year of year measureable improvement (6-sigma type capability).  Focus driven by: process performance issues, compliance, adherence by users, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You will bring with you a strong working knowledge of core enterprise end to end operating process (record to report, Order to cash, hire to retire, Plan to deliver, After delivery, Purchase to pay, Acquire to retire), as well as practical experience of launching and operating core enterprise end to end operating process in a manufacturing business. You will have the ability to be able to critically challenge and review the process / control requirements from each of the functional process owners to ensure requirements and solution are Fit for Purpose – e.g. the balance between not leaving gaps in controls and execution with over engineering a requirement and solution. You will have a strong track record in application of business management tools and techniques, including for example: Project planning, management and control in a multi-programme environment, budget planning and control of both revenue and capital expenditure, resource and capacity planning. Managing within a quality operating system and the requirements of TS16949 / ISO 9001 will be familiar to you. You will be competent in using ARIS process modelling toolset as well as having strong working knowledge of SAP and MES. Key to this role will also be a thorough understanding of the part data plays in an enterprise process landscape and how this should be integrated into the operating model.

In the past you will have successful managed teams of direct and lead large of cross-functional teams. You will have the ability to achieve results not only through hierarchical structure but also exerting influence beyond it through stakeholder management, including operating from senior Director to associate level. Educated to degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline you will be a self-starter, flexible and able to manage multiple and conflicting priorities whilst delivering to tight deadlines.
