The Power Train Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) department are responsible for the development and introduction of new and modified Engine Assembly processes and facilities associated with new model introductions and model year changes. 

The team is developing to support future engine developments for the complete range Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. You'll be responsible for developing our new, technologically advanced power train assembly facilities that are currently under design and manufacture to support the Jaguar Land Rover global powertrain initiatives.

This role requires extensive international travel.

You'll be a key part of the assembly team, working closely with product development engineers, facility vendors and tooling suppliers to ensure that component and whole engine designs meet world class quality and efficiency standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In your role as Process Engineer working in the Engine Assembly Team, you will need assembly experience of working with diesel and, or petrol Engines in a production environment.

You will be challenged to deliver new engine assembly projects from start to finish, including intensive working with the Product Design teams for engine Design for Manufacture.

You'll have the ability to analyse and interpret performance data output from these facilities.

A working knowledge of assembly process planning, process authoring tools, working knowledge of the function of virtual and simulation teams, capability to develop equipment layouts, automated assembly processes, basics of control systems and DC tooling is an advantage.

You will be directly supporting production into full volume ramp-up and have the capability to work in low TAKT time environments.

This role requires the capability to adopt and utilise the JLR problem solving processes and tools to support production rate of climb.
