WHAT TO EXPECT
Every day we design and deliver world-class vehicles. As part of the Production Operations team within Manufacturing, your contribution will ensure that all paint related facilities, production teams and processes are capable of producing vehicles that meet and exceed the business' service quality delivery requirements. As a Process Engineer, you’ll use your sound methodologies to implement robust process controls, improvement plans and facility changes through benchmarking initiatives, continuous improvement projects and data-driven actions.
As a Process Engineer you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Global Study Process Allocation System (GSPAS) documentation, and reviewing of Quality Process Sheets (QPS) and Work Element Sheets (WES) on a regular basis. You’ll be expected to implement and maintain process measures to support continuous improvements, whilst managing and driving projects to completion using problem resolution tools. You’ll support the development and implementation of on-going compliance activities and support the creation and maintenance of control plans within the area. The role will require you to liaise with tier one suppliers including improvements regarding quality and cost. In addition, you’ll attend facility meetings representing and giving colour to Paint Operations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Engineering Process is an area that combines procedural expertise and ruthless determination, so you’ll need both to succeed in this role. In this position, there is a real opportunity for you to impact our ability to deliver outstanding driving machines. Beyond your ability to manage a fluid process, you’ll need to have a sound understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with proven supervisory experience and dynamic presentation skills. The role will require a level of self-sufficiency and knowledge of working with GPAS, QPS and WES. You’ll have the ability to work as part of a team driving motivation and enthusiasm amongst others. The role will also require you to work cross-functionally throughout the business so you must hold a full driving licence.
Preferably you’ll have experience in the automotive paint process and work within Body in White, with an excellent understanding of lean methodologies and ideally hold a black or green belt qualification. A degree in a relevant discipline or the willingness to study would be desirable.
BENEFITS
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
