What to expect:
The International Manufacturing Operations (IMO) Department has responsibility for leading & co-ordinating all Business Functions with the objective of achieving ‘Flawless’ Product Launches, on time, to cost targets with the achievement of quality standards in the JLR low volume manufacturing sites (currently India and Brazil). This requires interaction with and co-ordination of Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, and the New Model Programmes activities within both the Lead plant and Follow plants.

The role offers a valuable opportunity for the candidate to apply New Product Launch principles in an international context. The International Manufacturing Operations Department hold a unique position at the heart of Launch Planning and Delivery from early engagement in the Pilot stage through to Volume Production in global low volume manufacturing locations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the preparation and management of the OK events (OKTS, OK to build etc), LRRs and LMMs.
• Support the creation and management of the Programme Scorecards to track programme readiness for the Follow plant.
• Support management in the tracking of RIS and IPC activities in the Lead plant for implementation in the Follow Plant.
• Support the creation and implementation of launch/delivery synthetics with our partners.
• Support in-market Pilot, PP and Job1 launches in the international sites.
• Support multi-disciplinary teams in structured problem solving of build and launch issues.
• Develop and maintain Launch Timing Plans for all products within all LVM Manufacturing sites.
• Manage LVM specific AIMS Meeting and interface with Lead Plant AIMS Coordinator.
• Promote continuous improvement via Lessons Learned and the use of Best Practice.
• Support development and roll out of standardised launch processes/metrics for Low volume manufacturing launches

The successful applicant will support and may be asked to co-ordinate during the launch phases the planning and delivery of Launch Quality Maturation processes including:

• RIS, IPC and Alert activities in-market to ensure all applicable quality and safety are implemented
• Out-turn for BOM accuracy and parts status (quality and availability) prior to in-market build.

What you’ll need:
• Experience in new product introduction preferable (NMP, Plant Launch etc.)
• Ability to work effectively both individually and within multi-functional teams and provide leadership as appropriate.
• Must have a thorough logical approach to issues with high attention to detail.
• Approachable, a good negotiator and communicator of both written and verbal information.
• Ability to work at both detailed and high level.
• Experience in problem solving skills & techniques.
• IT literate, good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Able to generate high impact and concise presentation materials
• Woking knowledge of LQOS processes
• Flexible with respect to work load and working hours in support of Program Launch.

Occasional travel between applicable manufacturing and engineering sites in the UK as well as in-market support during International launch phases.
