Maintaining efficient production processes in the most advanced car manufacturing facilities is far from easy. But it’s a challenge we deliver on every day. There are no numbers to paint by, no cardboard to cut or simple allen key solutions. Right now, we’re looking for all kinds of skilled trades to join us, from Industrial Maintenance Electricians and Mechanical Fitters, to Multi-skilled (Electrical/Mechanical) Technicians and Toolmakers. Wherever you’ve gained your experience, you’re good at what you do because you enjoy it, thriving on the thrill of thinking on your feet to deliver quick, effective fixes. If you have completed an indentured/certificated apprenticeship and have experience in an industrial setting, you’ll easily fit in here.

Skills, experience and qualifications required

Essential

Must have completed an indentured/certificated apprenticeship

• Knowledge of power press mechanical maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of modular automation set up, maintenance and optimisation.
• Good problem solving, organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
• Good written, verbal and numerical skills (Microsoft Office – Data analysis / report writing)
• Enthusiastic, persistent and proactive approach.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
• Ability to ensure that systems are in place to maintain the effective operation of the Press.
• Support the implementation of systems and improvements with the objective of:
o Ensuring that an appropriate rate of progress is maintained.
o Identifying and assisting with problems.
• To adhere to all Health and Safety requirement including power press regulations etc.

Desirable

Knowledge of power press mechanical maintenance activities, ideally with the following:
• Safety systems (facility and personal i.e. safety lock out, PPE, HAVS).
• Schuler, Danly, Clearing, Muller Weingarten & Aida Presses (300T plus) knowledge.
• Mechanical double action systems.
• Hydraulic presses.
• Hydraulic & Pneumatic system fault finding
• Servo presses.
• Clutch and brake assemblies.
• 2 speed drive systems.
• Overload systems.
• Torc pacs.
• Hydraulic cushions.
• Press inspections.
• Press crown / gearing strip downs.
• Electrical overhead crane mechanical maintenance.
• Lifting and slinging knowledge
