LOCATION:  Whitley, Coventry

 

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

The Powertrain Strategy, Planning and Business Relations are responsible for managing all external collaborations with third party partners as well as determining the future line up of vehicle powertrains and setting this strategy with the vehicle teams, progressing all Powertrain Commodity Strategy Papers.

 

As Powertrain Project Engineer, you’ll deliver the company’s product strategy, with significant challenges to fuel economy, fleet compliance & transformed cost structure, Powertrain engineering is core to delivering the Jaguar Land Rovers blueprint for lasting success.

 

In addition, you’ll engage with all relevant stakeholders across all Jaguar Land Rover business functions. You’ll also manage existing agreements with our collaboration partners, supporting cross-party meetings, administering projects arising from these meetings along with ad hoc actions agreed between parties.

 

The role of a Powertrain Project Engineer requires a level of commercial awareness, strong literary skills. Technical knowledge is also required in order to assess Jaguar Land Rover’s product needs and in order to be able to implement technical tasks related to new and ongoing collaborations. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to plan, control and implement studies to time and quality, with high self-motivations you’ll be able to work with minimum supervision. You’ll be competent in using standard IT systems (MS Office) and other IT products such as databases, search & analysis tools.

 

You’ll be administering ongoing collaborations, filing of supply and development agreements, capture and storage of documentation in line with Jaguar Land Rover procedures. You’ll also have a strong technical knowledge of Powertrain and Electrification technologies and products with the ability to think laterally and creatively to solve both product and process challenges.

 

Ideally, you’ll be educated to degree level or have good technical and/or business education and education.
