An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The electrification and drive transfer team within powertrain research is in charge of delivering new technology based on innovative concepts, proven through demonstrator vehicles. The focus of the team is on electric drive units as systems, eMachines technology, power electronics technology, battery hardware and chemistry. We are looking to recruit a postgraduate student to support our research projects.

The main objective of this project is to support the Powertrain testing operations by doing commission testing (test engineers, units, timing), supporting lubricant specification from test results and desktop studies and improving the EDU systems efficiency from previous conclusions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

The prime requirement for participation in this project is to be pursuing a postgraduate degree in electrical/mechanical engineering. It is just as important that you’ll have good appreciation of running tests as well as an understanding of EDU loss mechanisms.

A resilient self-starter with the ability to resolve technical challenges with limited guidance, you’ll be able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to new ideas and inputs.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
