Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities. Paint Advanced Manufacturing Engineering are responsible for introduction of new facilities, materials product lines and current vehicle freshening programs into Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich Paint shop. Paint Facilities Engineering are responsible for the introduction of new facilities and equipment required to process new materials and product programmes through the Paint Shop.

As Lead Paint Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting new product introductions into Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull Paint shop. You’ll have involvement in feasibility investigations, prototype build support, project planning, and facilities engineering and modifications.

You’ll be responsible for all aspects of Capital Expenditure Project tracking, focusing on Product and Non Product related expenditure from project conception through to delivery, commissioning, and handover to the customer in line with policies and procedures.

 

What you’ll need

Your proven track record of working within advanced manufacturing engineering will mean you have an existing knowledge of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

Ideally you’ll have previous Project Management experience and good working knowledge of paint facilities and systems.

 

You’ll also have previous experience of Supplier selection and tender management and must be able to create and manipulate 2D CAD drawings using auto CAD. Being highly computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office package’s including 'project’ will also be an advantage.
