Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

It’s not every day you come across high performance versions of existing models, luxury bespoke commissions, heritage models, or individually tailored vehicles that set pulses racing. Unless you join us at Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO).

You’ll be supporting the Special Vehicle Operations-Noise Vibration Harshness team in growing the capability of delivering innovative class-leading Powertrain Sound Quality (PTSQ) and, Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) character.

As Noise Vibration Harshness-Attributes Engineer you’ll have responsibility for meeting component and vehicle performance against attribute targets as well as working closely with Vehicle Engineering teams and Attribute Leads to define PTSQ targets and develop the engineering solutions to meet them.

Problem-solving skills along with a flexible attitude will be essential, to the fast-paced and wide-ranging ambition of the Special Vehicle Operations department; you’ll also be deployed at short notice, into problem-solving scenarios that will differ week to week.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll be versed in the use of practical problem-solving techniques and have used or be familiar with 8D, Is/Is Not, 5 Whys, and other tools. You’ll also have technical experience using LMS or a similar package to record and analyse Noise Vibration Harshness data, and you’ll be able to interpret and present the data and suggest new standards of working.

Flexible and adaptable, you’ll be able to manage a number of work streams simultaneously, with your involvement ranging from detailed technical work to high-level programme overview. You’ll be educated to a degree level or be able to show a track record of relevant experience along with knowledge and experience of the whole vehicle attribute process (PALS, SOI, RMDV, and Panel Charts).

The ability to manage complex technical issues will be essential to balance the often conflicting needs of the business within project timing constraints. A confident attitude complemented by both verbal and written communication skills will give you the advantage enabling you to report technical issues across all levels.

JLR considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list.  Therefore, JLR will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

BENEFITS:

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, private medical cover and performance related bonus scheme. As a manager, you’ll also be able to select one of our luxury premium vehicles to lease at a fraction of the cost. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
