WHAT TO EXPECT
Vehicle Engineering is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. In your new role as a Software Systems Architect, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and authoring the software architecture requirements for our Linux/QNX infotainment systems. Supporting the development of feature infotainment applications, you’ll work with a team of multi-disciplined engineers to deliver software that focuses on connectivity and integration including Wi-Fi technologies, telematics boxes, Embedded SIM cards, and Software over the Air.
You’ll also work with the Software Integrator and third party suppliers to resolve architectural and development issues, and focus on delivering software on time, to budget, and in line within our strict quality guidelines.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll join us with strong analytic skills, using feature use cases to derive detailed requirements and software designs. You’ll be experienced in the use of software development tools and you’ll have worked on a number of connectivity feature integration projects, such as Wi-Fi, eSim, Software Over the Air, or telematics.
You’ll be degree qualified in software engineering or similar, and ideally you’ll understand infotainment systems and associated processes. Any exposure to CAN/FLEXRAY technology is beneficial, as is working knowledge of C, C++, QNX, Linux.
