WHAT TO EXPECT

 

In your new role as a Navigation Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for the technical development, project management, and delivery of navigation system applications, mapping, and connected navigation services serving all of our current and future vehicles. Key features of your new role include the development of technical design and validation specifications, and engineering and sign-off for all development phases and applicable vehicle programmes, working alongside multiple teams to ensure success.

 

You'll be the technical lead for navigation system development and delivery, specifying and delivering key technical solutions in line with our worldwide market and industry requirements. You'll define and drive workstreams within infotainment teams and enable collaborative working, creating test methods and milestones and ensuring that 'lessons learned' are documented correctly.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll have a proven track record of delivering systems with a high software content, demonstrating systems thinking and an understanding of systems lifecycles, boundaries, and interfaces. You'll have strong analysis and problem skills, and you'll be able to lead the resolution of complex functional, software, and hardware inter-related issues in a team environment.

 

Ideally you'll have delivered and deployed navigation solutions and in-vehicle infotainment, using diagnostic analysis logs to identify issues and their root cause. Experience of using enterprise toolsets for requirements management, design, verification, and release & issue management is also beneficial.
