What to expect:
Manpower planning is responsible for all manufacturing manpower planning activities for current and future production vehicles.
This role is responsible for planning and coordination of all manufacturing hourly manpower requirements, including product programme actions and production strategies to meet the Operating strategy and cycle plan. In the role you will be responsible for producing monthly manpower forecasts, the development of the business plan in line with cycle plan volumes and the collation and publishing of detailed capacity statements, including future products. Manpower planning are responsible for all manpower requirements for new models within Trim & Final working with the plant, manufacturing engineering, the launch team and product development, to deliver all of the headcount prior to and into full production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Production with Manpower Planning & forecasting
• Maintain AOR (Actual On Roll) inventory, manning board templates & process
• Develop productivity plan to align with Plant Objectives
• Support Production delivery of Productivity plan, identification of opportunities & quantify
• Co-ordinate work measurement & method study activities to enable delivery
• Maintain IPC (In Process Containment) register & integrate into forecasts & productivity plans
• Support Production holiday planning/management activities

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Requirements of the Role
• Experience of Industrial Engineering & work measurement essential
• Experience use of work measurement synthetics e.g. MOST preferred
• Ability to analyse data, identify improvements & develop action plans essential
• Knowledge & understanding of Kaizen or other continuous improvement tools preferred
• Application of lean manufacturing techniques and working practices preferred
• Excellent practical problem solving skills
• Best practice replication across all models and from other sites
• Good understanding of engineering processes including WERS & GSPAS
• Basic understanding of MQOS requirements
• Good IT & communication skills
• Educated to degree level preferred
• Knowledge of Trim and Final processes preferred
• Good knowledge of QPS & WES, and standardized work processes
• Ability to make short presentations to work groups and management
• Ability & willingness to be flexible with working hours/ shift at short notice
• Knowledge of 6 sigma and green belt training would be advantageous
• a desire to make a difference and tenacity to achieve results within tight deadlines
• Able to build strong relationships at all levels
• Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Strong team player who is prepared to bring a flexible approach to the role, and capable of leading/developing a winning team
