LOCATION: WHITLEY, COVENTRY
ADVERTISED SALARY: £38,000 - £47,000

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Resource Planning function is responsible for generating the associate and staff workforce targets to ensure the required resource is allocated to meet the business needs. The role is high profile since the majority of interaction will be with more senior members of the Jaguar Land Rover Operations team.

 

As the Resource Planner you’ll be responsible for leading the generation of a five year workforce business plan, taking into account shift capacities, site balance, new model / model year programme impact and productivity tasks. Ensuring the accurate delivery of forecasting and capacity plans, leading debates on manning strategies in senior management meetings and providing analysis of workforce profiles to decipher productivity achievement.

 

You’ll advise Plant Operations and Finance as to the most efficient solutions to satisfy product demand and generate manpower hiring plans aligned to achieving production schedules taking into account all pre-requisites. Analysing large quantities of data and present in a format suitable for senior manufacturing reviews.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll have extensive experience within a Resource Planning role coupled with substantial stakeholder management experience. You’ll possess strong analytical skills with attention to numerical detail, be an exceptional communicator in order to present to senior management and be a highly driven individual with demonstrable management and leadership skills.

 

Working within a fast-moving environment and to tight deadlines owing to your excellent analytical skills and the ability to focus on the key issues while processing large amounts of data. Assertive and confident in your demeanour, you’ll be quick to build good rapport drawing on your past experience as Resource Planner. Advanced MS Excel skills and a background within the automotive sector is preferred and ideally educated to degree level, though this isn’t essential.

 

Finally, you’ll be flexible with respect to traveling between Jaguar Land Rover sites, often at short notice.
