WHAT TO EXPECT
The primary purpose of JLR Event Vehicle Operations is to prepare and maintain fleets of vehicles to the highest possible standards both dynamically & aesthetically for a broad range of business requirements. These range from a single vehicle for a motoring journalist or other VIP’s, through to fleets of up to 200 vehicles to support launch events or other significant marketing needs. The workshop is also responsible for discharging all vehicle preparations for Show/Photo/Press events.
As Logistics Supervisor, you’ll provide day to day supervision of the Logistics team and manage the workload of the Logistics Group Leaders and Operatives in our new Logistics centre - supporting both UK and international programmes.
Working alongside multiple stakeholders you’ll develop and execute a robust programme plan and strategy. Through your coordination, you’ll ensure required materials and equipment are in place to support launch and service activities as well as all external events in the UK and abroad.
To ensure maximum safety, you’ll comply and participate in all audits, including safety walks and Controls of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). Finally, you’ll generate and maintain standards and procedures for the area’s operating practices.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
With experience of managing a team within a Logistics Environment, you’ll have previous experience using goods in/inventory management systems and have knowledge of employment law and European Working Time Directive.
You’ll have experience in Health and Safety, Environmental, and COSHH compliance alongside strong organisational and planning skills. Excellent attention to detail is essential.
A Full UK driving licence is required you’ll be happy to work to a weekly rotating shift pattern.
The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure as a D grade with the associated terms and conditions. If you are a Land Rover employee you will continue to be administered on the Land Rover grading structure as a C grade with the associated terms and conditions.
