WHAT TO EXPECT
Our commitment to sourcing only the highest quality products for our vehicles has taken us all over the world. Join us, and it will be you coordinating a supplier base of thousands, ensuring the right part arrives at our plants at precisely the right time.
Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. As IMO Quality Senior Engineer, you’ll act as a liaison between the Lead Plant Operations teams, PVT, Quality, Launch, CKD pack shops and STA. This will ensure that relevant quality issues experienced on plant are communicated to the Low Volume manufacturing plants and supporting functions. You’ll also feed back any issues experienced in the LVM plants to the Lead Plant support functions to ensure UK support is engaged to deliver an effective and speedy cut-off and permanent corrective action.
In your role you’ll:
· Establish relationships with lead plant quality and engineering teams and lead feed forward and feedback of issues to relevant parties
· Ensure issue escalation processes are followed, from UK and LVM plants for transparency of issues, and quality issue resolutions
· Work with cross-functional teams to lead identification and communication of high damage potential components and track mitigation actions within supply chain and follower plants including during launch build phases
· Support deployment and effective use of PPS/8D processes for communication of problem definition and subsequent resolution actions
· Lead or support meetings on specific quality concerns to drive timely resolution and remove roadblocks
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll come to us with relevant engineering experience in either plant quality, process engineering, or product launch within manufacturing together with expertise in leading cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution. An understanding of vehicle programme delivery processes and procedures as well as an awareness of quality operating systems including manufacturing quality operating systems, launch quality, and integrated product structure will be essential.
Proactive and self-driven, you'll have the ability to travel to our overseas plants and have excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel and e-trackers. Able to combine short-term reactions to issues with a pragmatic focus towards medium-term planning, you’ll have a flair for expressing complex ideas, particularly to team members where English may not be their first language.
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you will find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team. Our employees have access to a privilege car purchase scheme, membership of a competitive pension plan, performance related bonus scheme and 26 days holiday entitlement. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
