Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

The Inbound Logistics team covers a broad range of responsibilities including Inbound Freight Planning, Contract Management, Plant Material Handling and Material Handling Equipment, with the main responsibility for leading complex freight projects, analysing data and improving processes. 

As Inbound Freight Projects Coordinator, you’ll scope and lead on complex transformation projects to develop and implement freight solutions to our new facilities, ensuring the successful and smooth delivery journey of our award winning vehicles. You’ll be responsible for coordinating freight submissions for new projects, models and facilities and playing a vital role in supporting and leading initiatives to drive out waste, continuous improvement and achieve best in class levels performance, maximising our customer value

You’ll also:

·  Develop the Inbound Freight’s Brexit mitigation and contingency plans
·  Provide a total logistics view for operational design of the freight network
·  Perform freight cost and feasibility studies for other  departments
·  Conduct ‘Go Look See’s’ across various plant functions, advising on best cost and operational solutions
·  Identify new ways of working, and delivering imaginative approaches to problems.

Whilst enthusiasm and motivation are key for us, we do require you to have relevant logistics experience and a good understanding of MP&L, and manufacturing working processes and practices, having worked end-to end on logistical projects. 

It’s a must therefore, that you’ve strong project management experience; highly organised, and with attention to detail with experience of working to tight deadlines.

Being in a position where you’ll be communicating and influencing up to leadership level, you’re a confident, presenter and have an appreciation for business operations and protocol.
