WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

As the HV Power Electronics Application Engineer you'll be responsible of verification and validation of all Power Converter Electronics commodities such as DcDc Converters, Traction Inverters and other associated commodities in support of Electrification Department. You'll establish new component and system testing methods to meet our business requirements on time with appropriate quality, efficiency and robustness.

 

You'll responsible for co-ordinating, executing and delivering all test cases and procedures of Power Electronics commodities including activities such as prototype testing, supplier component testing,  Model-In-Loop (MIL), Software-In-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) testing activities including complete verification, validation and simulation techniques. This is a high visibility role requiring the candidate to cascade and agree requirements with a wide range of stakeholders from around the business.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

A skilled engineer, you'll have experience in testing HV Power Electronics (PE) components and system configurations. You'll need good project management skills, alongside with good planning skills. You'll also be competent in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project). Strong verbal and written communication skills are important to communicate across all levels, and these should be combined with a confident attitude. Ideally, you'll be educated to a degree level.
