Earlier this year, Jaguar Land Rover announced a long-term strategic partnership with Waymo, formerly Google’s self-driving car project. The Jaguar I-PACE is at the heart of this partnership, with both companies working together to develop the world’s first premium self-driving electric vehicle, set to join Waymo’s driverless transportation service. Up to 20,000 vehicles will be part of the Waymo driverless fleet in the US by 2020. This long-term strategic collaboration will further Waymo and Jaguar Land Rover’s shared goals: to make cars safer, free up people’s valuable time and improve mobility for everyone.

You’ll implement software solutions within the framework of industry standard methods and tools such as MISRA-C, OSEK, AUTOSAR, ISO26262 and create test cases for SIL, MIL and PIL for system validation and verification. Finally, you’ll work within the BMS HW and integration team to ensure that the final product meets quality standards.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As an HV BMS Software Engineer, you’ll have experience of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow with Embedded Coder and Fixed Point Designer toolset and the ability to design Simulink models suitable for auto code generation.
You’ll also have experience of control design, simulation and test coupled with significant knowledge and experience of software development, at least some of which must have been in automotive safety critical systems development (e.g. with an automotive OEM or tier1/2/3 supplier).
You’ll need problem solving skills such as Fault Tree analysis, 8D, FMAE etc. and a degree in a relevant engineering area. Finally, you’ll have the ability to work as part of a team with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to achieve the optimum design solutions.
