WHAT TO EXPECT
In your new role as a Human Factors Researcher, you’ll be providing key Human Factors support and potential leadership on a number of projects in the field of Human-Machine Interface concepts, features, and technologies. You’ll lead research milestone projects and share your expertise in Human-Machine Interface concept generation, designing and conducting bench, simulator, and vehicle-based user evaluations for these concepts.
You’ll be liaising with suppliers to ensure new technology investigation and project delivery, and you’ll be focused on providing support to internal teams when it comes to project handover. You’ll create Human-Machine interface specification and standards, and file patent applications in order to protect new and innovative ideas.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll join us with extensive knowledge of human factors implications for Human-Machine Interface design, gained during degree studies in ergonomics, human factors, psychology or a in a similar field. You’ll also have experience of working with relevant research technologies and strong technical and development expertise.
You’ll have designed, ran, and analysed user trials to evaluate concepts, and you’ll have excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ideally you’ll have worked on human factors projects within the automotive industry, and any experience of working with Technology Creation Development Systems is highly desirable.
