Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

What to expect

The Powertrain HiL group is responsible for delivering HiL capability across all powertrain and driveline variants, including Hybrid and Battery-Electric architectures, both for stand-alone simulators and HiL capability integrated into high voltage/dyno based test rigs.

The Purpose of the technical lead role is to provide technical design solutions to customer requirements and provide decomposition of these designs to sub tasks to allow themselves and other HIL engineers to complete the work. The technical lead should also provide guidance to other HiL engineers on technical solutions, best practices and insure that HIL solutions are implemented to process.

The technical lead engineer report directly to the Powertrain HIL team group lead. As technical lead they have the responsibility of technical content for projects they are assigned. They have the responsibility for decomposing the design and assigning task within the Powertrain HIL planning tools to HIL engineers for completion. The technical lead is accountable for insuring the overall HIL system design meets the customer requirements and the sub tasks are complete and integrate to achieve this.

The primarily deliveries of this role will be developing the technical content of HiL solutions for applications of hybrid, engine control, transmission and driveline HIL applications and hybrid high voltage dyno test cells. In all these applications the focus of the HIL solutions is to provide a virtual vehicle testing environment for single ECU HIL systems, multiple ECU sub-system and full system HIL solutions or rest of vehicle simulation for test cell applications.

In achieving these deliveries the role encompasses tasks such as working with customers to capturing requirements, managing expectations, working with the team to design and develop solutions. Taking ownership of projects and managing the delivery of the designed systems to tight deadlines.

It will also be important in the role to manage relationships with internal and external suppliers to insure we get timely delivery of hardware/software solutions.
