SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000

 

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In your role as a Forward Model Quality System and Commodity Engineer, you’ll be joining our Quality Engineering department, acting as the “voice of the customer” to ensure that customer satisfaction is the corner stone of our processes, commodity teams, new features and technology, and the definition and engineering delivery of our vehicle programmes.

 

You’ll join one of four departments: Programme Quality Engineering, Commodity Quality Engineering, Quality Voice of the Customer or Quality Process and Standardisation.

 

In your role, you’ll run through risk analysis, looking out for potential risks and preventing these from happening during current manufacturing. You’ll become a process expert and will share your knowledge by training engineers in the application of proper and streamlined methodologies. In this capacity, you’ll also create standard documents for working and will feedback any updates and changes to cross-functional teams and Senior Management.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

For your role as a Forward Model Quality System and Commodity Engineer, you’ll come with demonstrable experience of working in a quality environment. Having been involved with automotive engineering, you’ll have a technical appreciation of automotive systems, and this should be complemented by a minimum of an HND (or similar) in an engineering-type vocation.

 

You’ll be systems and IT literate as well as conversant with a variety of quality tools, and you’ll have a strong customer focus and an understanding of their needs and wants. A clear communicator both verbally and in writing, you’ll show confidence as you discuss ideas and feedback data reports to higher management and stakeholders. Besides strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex issues in a brief and straightforward manner, you’ll be proactive and capable of working with minimum supervision. Finally, you’ll be comfortable with occasional UK travel and have a valid driving licence.
