ADVERTISED SALARY: £30,000-£40,000

 

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As Systems Robustness Engineer, you’ll be joining our Quality Engineering department, acting as the “voice of the customer” to ensure that customer satisfaction is the corner stone of our processes, commodity teams, new features and technology, and the definition and engineering delivery of our vehicle programmes.

 

In your role, you’ll run through risk analysis, looking out for potential risks and preventing these from happening during product development. In this capacity, you’ll also create standard documents for working and will feedback any updates and changes to cross-functional teams and Senior Management.

You’ll have day to day responsibility for performing Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) for our systems in support of new model programmes and will also support the commodity strategies to ensure that they have credible plans and countermeasures.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

You’ll have demonstrable experience of working in a quality environment with a background in automotive engineering. You’ll have a technical appreciation of automotive systems, and this should be complemented by a minimum of a degree (or similar) in an engineering-type vocation.

 

You’ll have good understanding of Quality Tools, with a particular focus on Systems Engineering and related engineering analysis providing a strong customer focus and an understanding of their needs and wants. Besides strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex issues in a brief and straightforward manner, you’ll be proactive and capable of working with minimum supervision. Finally, you’ll be comfortable with occasional UK travel and have a valid driving licence.
