FEU Operations is part of the New Model Programmes organisation and is based at both Castle Bromwich and Solihull Plants. We are responsible for supporting the delivery of future product from early manufacturing build phases through to vehicle Launch. The successful candidate will work alongside other skilled Mechanics/Auto Electricians & the other FEU associates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete vehicle software updates with ASL/SDD to outlined plan
• Follow update process to ensure software deployment is error free and to the highest quality.
• Interrogation of FEU vehicles to include the extraction and communication of diagnostic data to support vehicle investigations.
• Support workshop investigations into complex Electrical issues on fleet vehicles.
• To liaise with Electrical Integration team ensuring successful vehicle software/hardware updates.
• Timely completion of all agreed rectification work.
• Actively involved to ensure that the workshop meets with H+S, Environmental standards.
• Ensure vehicle is reconfigured as per customer vehicle – e.g. windows reset, radio stations set etc
• Supporting the FEU Team in fully preparing vehicles to meet “Pass to Customer” standards.

Skills and experience required:
• Endentured apprenticeship in relevant discipline (electrical)
• Strong technical knowledge of 12V vehicle electrical systems and OBDII diagnostics.
• The role will require regular driving of vehicles and inter-site travel. It is essential that candidates
hold a clean valid UK Driver’s licence.
• Rudimentary appreciation of scripting languages – primarily .txt, script files, html
• Experience in problem solving skills & techniques.
• PC literate, able to understand and solve PC related hardware and software problems
• Valid passport
