In order to drive continued success and meet ambitious growth plans it is essential that the business has robust and condensed plans in place and is able to operationalize, monitor and report on the progression of those plans. Global Planning and Supply (GP&S) holds responsibility for managing the sales and supply planning process from feature demand planning through to volume budget setting, manufacturing liaison, production allocation, order management and sales reporting. GP&S plays a hugely important strategic role at the very heart of JLR operations.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Feature Demand Planning Team work as a truly cross-functional team, impacting the development of many new processes across the Business. Feature Demand Planning are the single source of Sales Feature take rates. The successful candidate will work in a truly cross functional capacity building a close relationship with Product Marketing, Purchasing, Vehicle Programing and Scheduling and the Capacity Planning Attribute Teams (CPAT). Delivering derivative mix and feature take rates for multiple carlines through the PPVMT process (Product, Price, Volume, Mix and Take Rate Review).  Support CPAT forums with Global Take Rates.  Support Product Marketing and Launch Planning in the creation of feature- level launch plans for new programmes.  Support capacity planning for Limited Editions. Support the development of a number IT projects, including the creation of the Feature Demand Database.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As a Feature Demand Planner, knowledge of product strategy, sales features and OXOs is ideal. Understanding of capacity planning and forecasting techniques is beneficial. You should have excellent analytical skills and be computer literate in a variety of applications, in particular MS Excel.

You must be highly self-motivated, tenacious, can work under pressure and be able to manage a high workload and changing priorities. You should have the capability to combine short term, pragmatic focus with long term planning and the ability to deliver accurate plans in a complex, highly demanding environment, in a timely manner. You must be results orientated and a good communicator/negotiator at all levels.

You will need to work as an effective team member and have a strong customer focus.
