WHAT TO EXPECT

This is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customer.

 

Harnessing a range of testing, benchmarking and evaluation methods, you’ll deliver robust and complete insights into our competitor’s infotainment and connected car systems. This will support the strategy, competitive position and future direction of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. As a Feature Benchmarking Engineer, you’ll work alongside our engineering and overseas teams to develop new benchmarking tests and evaluation methods, and to ensure alignment on test methods and reporting between countries too.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Alongside proven technical knowledge of infotainment and/or connected car systems, you’ll be experienced in developing technical requirements, specifications and associated test plans, and in the delivery of projects in an automotive or manufacturing environment. Ideally you’ll have a degree or relevant equivalent experience, and experience in building and managing multiple relationships in a complex stakeholder environment.

 

Results-driven, resilient and tenacious, you’ll be able to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment, by combining a short-term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning. A good communicator of complex ideas, you’ll have a passion for continuous technical improvement and will respond constructively to new ideas and inputs. You’ll be an effective team player who actively develops and supports colleagues; but you’ll also be able to work independently, too.
