WHAT TO EXPECT

Precision is what guides every aspect of our processes, and in the Performance, Efficiency and Driveability (PED) arena, you’ll influence the technologies deployed. You’ll guide the business on the vehicle content that is required to deliver targets.

Road Load Data are part of the Product Analysis and Verification (PAV) department. The department has responsibility for the measurement and analysis of real-time structural durability data used for problem resolution, running CAE core modelling process, and providing drive signals for test facilities from single component rigs to 30-actuator 'road simulators' within Jaguar Land Rover and throughout the global supply chain. Measurements support all aspects of product strength and durability as well as increasing virtual methodology development. Projects are time-bound and support the gateway requirements of both UNV and Jaguar Land Rover/PCS V1. The department has its own range of measurement and test facilities which are used to verify and sign-off vehicle and system level targets.

As an integral part of an Road Load Data Measurement team, you'll be providing a service for the collection of in-vehicle data including load, displacement, acceleration, and CAN. The role will include the programming of measurement systems, analysis and verification of the measured data, and finally the preparation, calibration, and installation of measurement instrumentation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be successful in this role, you'll be well versed in electrical and mechanical systems. With demonstrable understanding of measurement process and associated tools and techniques, you’ll be open to further developing your knowledge of materials, fatigue, simulation, and vehicle behaviours. Besides being adaptable to changing circumstances, you'll have a  flexible approach to requirements regarding working overseas and at weekends. You'll also be self-motivated and have the ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to present complex information to all levels of management.
