WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

The Battery Engineering department is responsible for the design, development and engineering sign-off of all Jaguar Land Rover batteries. The department comprises a matrix organisation of Designers, Test and Validation Engineers and Programme Leaders.

Integration Engineers perform a vital role in the battery engineering design maturation process ensuring that the Design team are all working in context and are aligned with programme assumptions. The Integration team also provide overall technical reporting for design progress toward virtual builds and test progress as stated in RMDV, along with provision of control and documentation for build instrumentation, build deviation documentation, build process and manufacturing process documentation.

As a Battery System Integration Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the achievement of battery virtual build maturity to deliver QCWFT targets. Key parts of your role will include leading and resolving issues across departments and CoC functions, ensuring DV reporting statuses are maintained for each programme, escalating and communicating issues and roadblocks for arbitration as well as suggesting solutions within engines, powertrain and vehicle.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As a Battery System Integration Engineer, you'll have in-depth knowledge of a manufacturing assembly approach and its constraints along with sound awareness of component design principles. You'll also be skilled in problem definition and the use of problem-solving techniques, with additional knowledge of powertrain installation requirements. You should round out your technical expertise with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ideally be familiar with battery and PHEV systems, but this is not essential.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and a performance-related bonus scheme.
