Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

As the eMachine Electromagnetic Design Engineer you'll will design eMachine for new Jaguar Land Rover Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, with responsibility for the development electromagnetic design and ensuring that targets are met. You'll also provide technical support to Program and testing teams when required. In close collaboration with the team eMachines Subject Matter Experts, you'll support authorship of Product Design Specification documents, the definition of test rig requirements and review eMachine functional and lifetime test results.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

An experienced engineer, you must have in-depth design experience of electric machines, including standard electromagnetic CAE tools. You also must have knowledge of eDrive systems including power electronic converters and inverters and eMachine control software and design philosophy. Ideally, you'll have people leadership and project management skills. Finally, you'll have good verbal and written communication skills to enable communication across all levels of the business.
