Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems. By helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) develops the wiring harnesses, fuse boxes, connectors and other hardware that deliver electrical signals and power throughout the car. This forms a significant and complex system that requires engineering talent to develop and deliver robust and efficient designs to our rapidly growing portfolio of premium vehicles.

As the EDS Engineer you’ll be involved in circuit design and analysis; challenging system owners to develop the most efficient total system design encompassing EDS. You’ll also create EDS Bill of Designs for critical package zones in the vehicle, as well as conducting competitor benchmarking on EDS components and competitor circuits. In addition, you’ll create and work with EDS and vehicle level CAD, whilst achieving the most efficient EDS design concept for new programmes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need the ability to work collaboratively with many areas of the business, especially Body Engineering, Manufacturing and other Electrical Product Engineering teams. Also required is a clear understanding of circuit CAD tools, with the ability to create and understand harness complexity charts.

Understanding the application of customer specific harnesses (KSK) would be useful too, along with knowledge and experience of 12V, 48V and High Voltage (HV) electrical distribution systems. In addition, you’ll have an understanding and the ability to use generic quality and problem solving tools, as well as experience in analysing, organising and manipulating large complex sets of data.

Finally, it will be beneficial if you are capable working with Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) tools, Design Verification Plan (DVP), Microsoft Office tools, Capital Harness and Capital Integrator.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
