The Department:
Global Retail Operations has two core divisional responsibilities – implementing a formidable JLR franchise network and implementing fleet & business and approved pre-owned strategies. A key element of creating a formidable JLR franchise network is to ensure industry leading staff competency.
Global Network Learning & Development has responsibility for ensuring a fully competent Retailer network which is capable of consistently delivering an outstanding life-time ownership experience for our customers world-wide. The approach is learning and development starting from a clear agreed set of knowledge, skills and behaviours (Global Retailer Competencies) which sum up the key capabilities required to deliver JLR’s strategic objectives. These are used to develop the content of the global curricula, learner journeys and assessment processes, and drive the way we recruit, develop and manage our people. Training metrics focus on measuring competency levels against an agreed requirement for each role.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical eLearning and ‘applications’ that support learning within the Technical, Apprentice and Body & Paint Global Learner Journeys and new product training activities. Courses will be designed and developed within the approved software supplied and must adhere Jaguar Land Rover CI.
Key Responsibilities:
• Development of eLearning and digital learning applications.
• Deliver training modules that support learner journey objectives and training deliverables.
• Ensure quality and relevance of content is achieved and supports supplied storyboard.
• Analyse and interpret technical storyboards and liaise with subject matter experts
• Reuse and edit existing graphics.
• Design and develop interactive animations
• Access and manipulate CAD
• Load eLearning courses onto the approved LMS

What you’ll need:
To be successful in this role, you will need;
• Have a strong ‘Customer First’ ethic.
• Experience as an eLearning design and build specialist.
• Competent in MS software packages.
• Competent in Adobe software packages (Flash, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Captivate).
• Basic knowledge of ActionScript is important; more advanced skills would be beneficial.
• Experienced working with Learning Management systems
• Have JLR business awareness (products, technologies, teams, etc).
• Experience of working with service suppliers.
• Knowledgeable in L&D methodologies (e.g. competencies, adult learning principles)
• Knowledge in structured authoring processes including translation
