WHAT TO EXPECT

Under the leadership of the EDS Architect Module Leader, you’ll be directly supporting the EDS Lead Engineer in the development and delivery of the EDS commodity into your assigned Jaguar Land Rover vehicle(s). Directly supporting all EDS activities that are Jaguar Land Rover’s responsibility, you’ll work closely with the EDS nominated full-service supplier to ensure the EDS product is designed and delivered on time, on quality, and to budget.

As well as supporting the EDS suppliers in design reviews, you’ll ensure the inputs into EDS for the design of the circuits are completed in a timely manner and that the data provided is complete and accurate. You’ll also provide support to the supplier in setting up the design verification reporting database and ensure that the supplier provides the evidence required to demonstrate that all Jaguar Land Rover requirements have been met through the virtual series and physical prototype builds.

Finally, you ‘ll provide aid in all activities that will allow the EDS costs and weights to be developed and tracked from initial estimates through to fully costed engineering changes, and you’ll be working with the supplier to manage your product complexity and bill of materials.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll come to this role with technical knowledge of EDS and delivery experience, and you’ll be aware of the technical considerations when selecting or specifying all aspects of an EDS system at a component level. You should also have a proven history of delivering an EDS system from concept through to production.

Having previously worked within a multi-discipline engineering team, you’ll have experience of technical problem resolution and a knowledge of system validation processes, change control, product definition, and change management processes along with the ability to manage the engineering administration that is a result of a high volume of engineering change. Besides combining good engineering, business, and communication skills, you’ll also possess a self-starting attitude and you’ll be able to sustain a high, multi-task workload.
