LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

This role is for a driven, forward-thinking Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Component Engineer, who wants to be part of a team developing new and improved components for our wiring systems. This could include new earth fixing technology, new connectors or supporting investigations into quality problems. The role can be very varied and interesting, including visits to our manufacturing plants, suppliers and working alongside other EDS Engineers.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll come to this role with a good understanding of electrical component delivery, a relevant degree or equivalent experience. It is expected you’ll also have sound experience of automotive engineering or the manufacturing industry alongside skill in the Electrical Distribution Systems development and knowledge of materials.

In addition, you’ll be versed in the specification and development of new EDS components whilst working on the development of the earthing bill of design and ensuring the team comply with it. Finally, you’ll be involved in the roll-out of new fixings and also be required to undertake any other work as directed by your line manager as may be requested from time to time.
