WHAT TO EXPECT
This is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Engineering Management and the Vehicle Integrity team. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.
The Driven and Non-Driven Attributes Group is responsible for managing the technical status of all current and future vehicle programmes in terms of should-design attributes and driven attributes. Our department is now growing rapidly and the Attribute futuring process is also changing as we become more strategic as well as both system- and component-orientated at a platform level. To support this growth, we now require an experienced Vehicle Engineering Manager with extensive automotive product development experience able to cover most of the Physical Attributes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As the successful candidate, you’ll need to have an engineering automotive background and a proven track record of delivering complex attributes in a larger car environment. It is likely your previous cross-functional exposure will be significant, and you'll be expected to demonstrate experience in working with programme teams, engineering functions and commodity areas.
It is vital you’ll have the ability to handle timing plans and gateway reviews and to understand the discipline required, and you’ll also need experience handling multiple programmes along with the ability to bring technical information to life with pace and urgency. To be successful with Jaguar Land Rover, you’ll round out your overall profile with good interpersonal and influencing skills as you thrive in this new and growing role.
