Job description
In your new role as a Diagnostics Software Engineer, you’ll be joining our Platform Diagnostics and Software team, working within the Chassis Electronics section of our Electrical Engineering function. You’ll be responsible for the design and development of low-level software for our Chassis Control Module.
You’ll be gathering requirements and providing analysis in order to design and develop both a controls strategy and validation processes, including associated simulation environments. You’ll define, design, and implement a diagnostics strategy in line with Automotive Open System Architecture compliant frameworks, delivering concept and production systems on-time and to-budget by working with a team of system, hardware, software, and controls engineers, both local and off-shore.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• Experience of production development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development ‘V’ cycle , from requirements to validation.
• Hands on experience with Mathworks toolchain (Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow ) for real time applications is a must.
• Understanding of automotive diagnostics standards.
• Excellent debugging and issue investigation skills.
• Experience with Diagnostic implementation in AUTOSAR compliant framework.
• Previous experience with DEM, DCM configuration using K-SAR and/or DaVinci tool chain.
• Proficiency in using equipment including, but not limited to, Canalyser, Canape, and other test equipment.
• Understanding of automotive networking, diagnostics and fault handling techniques.
• A bachelors degree in a STEM subject or equivalent industry experience
