Joining the Analytics Centre of Excellence, you’ll share our vision to create the competitive advantage, helping to position Jaguar Land Rover as the world leader in automotive analytics. You’ll be part of the expert multi-disciplinary Corporate Analytics team, which is responsible for delivering our analytics strategy, coordinating analytics programmes, and solving our most complex analytics problems. Here, you’ll undertake projects that are varied in nature, from data manipulation to data visualisation. As well as working within analytics project teams, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of functional business partners. It will be your job to focus on developing codes for data exploration and the development of algorithms, identifying trends in our data sets. You will also mentor junior team members and provide training in data science. With this, you’ll maintain quality, reporting all assumptions and risks implied in their work. You’ll document your work to a high standard and continually develop your data skills, finding new solutions to problems. What’s more, you’ll provide colleagues around the business with best practice support.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have a coding and mathematical business background, ideally with Data and SQL experience. You’ll also have a strong track record in developing new solutions and working through complex problems (using R or python) with minimal guidance. You’ll be a great coach who’s confident and able to support junior team members. Plus, you’ll have the ability to proactively manage your own development in data science through online forums and training. While not essential, it will be to your advantage to have already worked in an analytics team within the automotive sector. Inquisitive and excellent with technology, you’ll be detail-orientated and methodical, and you’ll love working with data. Existing knowledge of numerous analytical tools is not a prerequisite. However, self-motivation to learn and ambition to become an expert in applying these technologies, is essential.
