ADVERTISED SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Customer Plant Liaison Department is the Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) first line of contact with our customer vehicle plants. It is responsible for supporting our customers in their vehicle build using our products and acting as a conduit for information regarding support to the vehicle plants. Outline responsibilities include issue resolution, 8D response, ICA/PCA, managing of plant quality metrics (PPM scorecard data), adherence to JLR QOS procedures, Customer Service Level Agreement (SLA), daily reporting to Vehicle Plant Quality, manufacturing and launch teams.

 

You’ll play a crucial role in driving our values and helping the Powertrain team to achieve our vision. Acting as the first level of support to our customers, responsible for collating vital initial information and reporting issues back to the EMC from the vehicle plants as they occur. You’ll be passionate about providing excellent customer service, taking responsibility for aspects such as effective data gathering, clear communication, methodical problem solving and logical containment of quality concerns to protect the customer.

 

As the Customer Plant Liaison Engineer you’ll be responsible for the initial investigation and screening of any engine issues, representing the EMC at daily plant meetings and quality reviews and the management and training of on-site engineering teams at the Jaguar Land Rover Vehicle plants. This role will be based in Halewood Vehicle Operations plant and you’ll also cover international sites including Austria and Brazil Vehicle Operations, supporting other Jaguar Land Rover engine manufacturing sites with engine issues in Halewood.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll have demonstrable experience in a similar position ideally gained within an automotive manufacturing environment. Have the ability to understand complex quality issues, clearly communicating any fault findings and key messages via the appropriate channels to ensure a first class service is provided to the customer base.

 

Ideally you’ll be educated to a minimum of HNC/HND within a relevant discipline or working towards completion. Strong problem solving ability, meticulous organisational and planning skills and knowledge of QPS/WES would be advantageous.

 

An individual who has the ability to work independently and in a team, you’ll be results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment. Have the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning, whilst being resilient and enthusiastic to new ideas and the enthusiasm to deliver a world class product.

 

Hold a full valid UK Driving Licence as there will be occasional travel between sites.
