WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Engineering and Manufacturing team are responsible for delivering control systems, IT solutions and machinery safety to the latest standards. They have a significant role to play in the system integration and development of world-class engine manufacturing facilities worldwide. Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) delivers new and retooled programmes to support new model launches in petrol, diesel and electric powertrain variants across the Jaguar Land Rover enterprise.

As the Controls Engineer, you’ll develop and maintain control specifications and standards for all powertrain projects. Not only will you be involved in the commissioning of machine monitoring and quality systems, but you'll also provide technical expertise, accurately identifying the root cause of any problems and proposing corrective actions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In your role as Controls Engineer, you'll have a thorough understanding of machine electrical systems and designs, and the experience of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming methods. You'll hold a degree in either manufacturing or engineering and have the ability to work effectively in an engineering team, both within controls and cross-functionally. A highly self-motivated specialist, you’ll be expected to have the flexibility to travel, often at short notice and possibly for extended periods. Along with these skills, you'll show creativity in all problem-solving activities.
