WHAT TO EXPECT

Due to the increasing demands on the tear down function as a result of our future cycle plan we are looking for an engineer to supplement our existing staff. We are looking for highly motivated inquisitive individuals with a flair for asking 'how' and 'why' during the dis-assembly of competitor products. We are keen to develop each individual to build a Product Benchmarking service to complement the future needs of Jaguar Land Rover.

 

As the Teardown Engineer, you’ll support the product creation processes through the systematic dismantling, interrogation and review of Jaguar Land Rover and competitor products to capture learning and best practices which can be shared with current and future programme teams.

 

This will be done through systematic teardown, analysis and data recording of competitor products. You’ll also be the direct support to Cost, Weight and Manufacturing target setting and efficiency improvement along with the organisation and facilitation of whole-vehicle reviews to maximise competitor awareness.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You’ll have a good understanding of all vehicle systems and manufacturing / assembly methods and naturally be hands on, having practical capability in the dismantling of vehicle components and systems.

 

Your communication skills will be key as you need to be confident in questioning and interrogating the design / product to derive product and process opportunities and be able to present at all levels.

 

 You must be flexible due to the changing nature of activity within teardown at any given time. You’ll need to be fully computer literate including MS Office and have a valid U.K. driving licence
