WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The purpose of this role is to develop world class clay models for both exterior and interiors components through the Jaguar Land Rover Design process. It is a very creative role and requires flexibility, forward thinking and an eye for detail. The role requires an individual who is able to adapt to new technologies being introduced into the modelling process.

Part of this role requires supporting the delivery of clay models to customers and supporting the lead modellers on specific projects. You’ll attend design delivery programmes applying a logical modelling approach to all projects you are involved in and be able to meet JLR standards within the given timelines. You’ll undertake any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with their jobs as may be requested from time to time.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

As an experienced Clay Modeller you’ll have experience of clay modelling within a design studio as well as some experience of hard modelling. Knowledge of 3 axis measuring machines and their supporting software will give you an advantage, also the ability to communicate effectively within the team and demonstrate resilience and enthusiasm throughout. You’ll also have a good understanding of the Automotive Industry with the enthusiasm to learn new skills. You’ll be self-motivated, a problem solver with the ability to deliver on quality and consistency within a highly demanding environment.
