WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works is an all-new facility based in Coventry dedicated to offering a range of products and services designed to fuel the passion of owners and enthusiasts for classic Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. Classic Works is home to Jaguar Land Rover Classic Legends and signifies a significant investment in traditional car making and restoration skills by Jaguar Land Rover in the UK’s original ‘Motor City’.

 

At 14,000m2 Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works is the largest facility of its type in the world, with a dedicated showroom space and 54 workshop bays for servicing and restoring all Jaguar and Land Rover models out of production for a decade or more.

 

To support the growth of our Classic business, Jaguar Land Rover is investing heavily in traditional manufacturing skills, with numbers of skilled employees continuing to join our team of restoration specialists now employed with decades of experience of working on the range of classic vehicles catered for at the new facility.

 

Within your role you’ll be involved in appraisals in conjunction with our engineers & our customers, and you’ll be able to diagnose issues and have the ability to undertake a robust repair where required on a number of classic vehicles.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need to have completed a time-served automotive apprenticeship, as well as a relevant NVQ Level 3.

 

In addition, you’ll need to have experience of working within the Classic Car industry as a Technician/ Auto Electrician, Coach Builder or Trim Manufacturer, which would include experience of historical vehicle rebuild & restoration; including strip downs.

You’ll be confident communicator with both your colleagues and our external customers. You’ll need to hold a full driving licence for this role.
