WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This is a great opportunity for an Experienced BoM analyst, ideally with experience in the automotive industry to work within a small team of like-minded people in the specifying and scheduling of components and assemblies scheduled in the preparation of vehicles.

 

As BoM Analyst you’ll maintain accurate financial information and supply chain accuracy, develop and implement all policies, procedures, systems and best practice with regards to the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials for forward Classic projects. Additionally you’ll produce associated reports for analysis of the wider team.

 

Through networking with the wider Classics team you’ll scope the structure of the vehicle program builds and use the BoM to drive the function’s material requirement planning and logistics. You’ll also work with the Logistics Controller to ensure accurate component schedules that support build Material Required Date (MRD).

 

You’ll gather part data from various archive sources and donor vehicle evaluation to create and maintain the BoMs to drive component demand at a program, vehicle and module level - therefore an excellent product knowledge of the architecture of Jaguar and Land Products is desirable. You’ll maintain BoM and accuracy using internal software packages and resolving errors in a timely manner.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With comprehensive knowledge and experience gained in a BoM role you’ll have a working understanding of vehicle systems architecture - as applied to vehicle construction at part level. An understanding and experience of JLR Purchasing and Procurement procedures is required – Strong JLR Classic Product knowledge would be beneficial.

 

You’ll be data driven and have the ability to interpret, interrogate and analyse data for problem resolution and report progression of work, and have strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.

 

You’ll be IT Literate with all MS Office applications and have excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
