Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Jaguar Land Rover Classic is a business unit that protects, promotes and profits from the history of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. They deliver vehicle re-creations, restorations and servicing, classic vehicle events experiences and supply classic parts through a growing chain of global facilities.

The Classic Engineering Department is dedicated to supplying unobtainable parts to the aftermarket, for both Jaguar and Land Rover products. We are also responsible for signing-off the engineering content of component and vehicle projects to ensure Classic deliver to the highest quality possible.

As the Classic Aftermarket Parts Engineer you’ll perform all the engineering necessary to take a request from the aftermarket team; through to having parts on the shelf ready to ship, often with nothing more than an original component to work from. You’ll manage the engineering and manufacture of parts to support Aftermarket Classic projects in a timely and cost effective manner across all component groups – powertrain, chassis, body, trim and electrical.

Through building relationships with key manufacturing suppliers, you’ll ensure we get their best timing, quality and price. You’ll also work closely with Classic Purchasing, Logistics and the Aftermarket team to support the sourcing process and solve any sourcing and technical problems with minimal support.

You’ll manage engineering service providers to outsource packages of work to meet targets and develop and apply quality control and sign-off process for manufactured parts and vehicle projects to ensure they are appropriate to use/sell.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With experience managing engineering and manufacturing suppliers you’ll have an in-depth understanding of core engineering principles, broad knowledge of engineering and manufacturing techniques and processes and ideally aftermarket/accessories engineering experience.

You’ll have experience of using quality tools e.g PPAP, FMEA, WERS and if you’ve practical knowledge of Classic cars and Jaguar Land Rover history, that’s even better.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list.  Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all. #LI
