WHAT TO EXPECT
Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems. By helping us find visionary developments in everything from Hybrid vehicles and Infotainment to Advanced Electronic Systems Integration and Electrics.
The Power Electronics team is responsible for cross brand delivery of Plug-In and Full Electric vehicles (PHEV’s and BEV’s) including hardware design and implementation, appropriate system design and control strategies for components such as DC-DC converters, Traction Inverters and Off-Board/On-Board Chargers. The team is heavily involved in current and future electrification programmes and is thereby actively contributing to the Jaguar Land Rover CO 2 route map.
As Charging Component Engineer you’ll be responsible for the delivery of on-board charging converters for all Vehicle programmes in support of Electrification; you’ll define requirements, design validation methods and testing, system integration, and be responsible for supplier management.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll have proven experience of leading GRADE (Guidelines for Review and Development of Electronics), Electromagnetic Compatibility testing, Hardware in the Loop Simulation and Testing, and supplier commodity planning.
Additionally, you’ll have good knowledge on the component releasing process using Worldwide Engineering Release System and “I” Product Lifecycle Management, Root Cause Analysis techniques (e.g. Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D), and a relevant degree (engineering, science or mathematics preferred).
