Our Battery teams seek like-minded and visionary engineers; you’ll be joining the team responsible for the design, development and engineering sign-off of all batteries, comprising a mix of designers, test and validation engineers and programme leaders.
Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems. By helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics. You contributions will see our electric cars travel farther than ever before.
As the new Cell Commodity Engineer you’ll be pivotal in ensuring the technical delivery and validation of the battery cell commodity to meet strict program deliverables and purchase metrics. Your technical leadership will prove invaluable concerning problem resolution and supplier selection.
You’ll have ownership of cell commodity to support program delivery, establishing and retaining reference battery duty cycle information for applications, assessing alternate cell solutions against program deliverables as well as being the link between the Advanced Battery and Battery team. You’ll also take ownership of cell application design guidelines for Pack Design Engineers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll bring proven experience in 12V, 48V and high voltage battery systems coupled with battery manufacturing assembly approach and constraints for respective systems.
Additionally, you’ll have in-depth knowledge of sourcing board review, part release process and quality tool deployments for Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Process FMEA, Global 8 Disciplines, or Level 0.
