ADVERTISED SALARY: £31,500-£41,500

 

LOCATION: West Midlands

 

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Tools and Simulation Group is a part of our Powertrain Calibration and Controls Advanced Product Creation functions and is responsible for all aspects of software tool set development and CAE/Simulation strategy, delivering leading edge engineering tools and simulation capability.

 

You’ll be responsible for creating accurate, reusable and tunable models for the engine, controller and vehicle.  You’ll maintain model specification in accordance with team requirements and processes and further refine those processes to streamline activities focused around customer support and business value for money.  

 

The role is focused on developing, sharing and deploying key edge models across all teams, whilst ensuring that capable, robust, and documented tools are made available across all attributes and systems.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll come to this role with a background in the mechanical engineering or automotive industries. You’ll have an excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint, and you’ll have experience of Data analysis, knowledge of key engine parameters, and how to judge them.

 

Ideally you’ll be qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline, or are able to demonstrate equivalent levels of training and experience.
