SALARY: £32,500 - £40,000

The Cockpit Systems team are responsible for engineering design, development and execution of our Cockpit Systems through to volume production. With an increasing emphasis on virtual development techniques, system efficiencies, and system integration you’ll utilise advanced CAD and CAE methods to support the product development process. Working with new technologies, a diverse and evolving supply base, you’ll need to rapidly adjust to ever changing customer usage patterns.

 

As a CAD Engineer for Cockpit Systems you’ll take the design studio’s design and develop CAD geometry that can be tooled to produce Cockpit Systems that meet our customers requirements and aspirations.

 

You’ll provide CAD support to the Programme Module team, provide feasibility evaluation of surfaces, and support the Lead Engineer with CAD data to support Supplier sourcing. You’ll also update CAD data to Teamcenter to ensure all areas are working with the best available CAD geometry.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll already be a highly competent CAD user with CATIA V5 (V6 would be great to have) who has experience and knowledge of working with Cockpit system design, function and performance. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of Cockpit system component production and manufacturing technologies as well as being able to evaluate tooling and functionality feasibility of surfaces released by the Design Studio.
