LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands

WHAT TO EXPECT

We employ specialist teams in Legal Affairs, Risk and Compliance, Patents and Audit. Our Legal Affairs team are responsible for corporate governance, protection of intellectual property and the development of commercial contracts. They also ensure compliance with any legal requirements and pre-empt and defend any legal challenges to the company worldwide.

As our business continues to grow from strength to strength, we are looking for Brand Protection Advisor to join our small but dynamic legal team. You'll be responsible for dealing with the notifications we receive from Customs authorities worldwide and supporting the business as required to take action relating to seizures of counterfeit or infringing goods. You'll take responsibility for managing, within Jaguar Land Rover, the use of an online monitoring system taking action in respect of trade mark infringement as well as liaising with our third party supplier to refine the service provision as required and regularly reporting to the business on actions taken. You'll be responsible for drafting witness statements in support of seizures or criminal actions taken by the authorities world-wide. Additionally, you'll attend conferences or trade shows and arrange training for customs officers worldwide in line with the brand protection strategy

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You'll be expected to demonstrate an ability to manage your own workload independently but work effectively and efficiently with other members of the Legal team. Strong communication skills are therefore essential. You'll work alongside other members of the Whitley-based legal team including our Global IP Counsel and Trade Mark Team.
