WHAT TO EXPECT

The aim of this role is to lead investigation and delivery of current quality brakes refinement issues for one or more allocated projects. You’ll be responsible for the analysis and investigation of post-launch refinement issues for all Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, the analysis being based on service, warranty and customer feedback data. You’ll identify priority actions from the data, and then you’ll help implement design or process changes in a short time frame to resolve issues and provide service fixes where appropriate.
Day to day, you’ll work closely with CoC teams (especially Chassis) to identify cost-effective solutions to any brakes refinement issues. You’ll lead brake refinement problem definition, testing and analysis including CAE, dynamometer and vehicle development loops to define refinement counter-measures. You’ll report project status at Quality reviews and forums and will identify and define brakes refinement quality problems using AWS, GQRS,PAWS, JD Powers and other customer and technical sources and analysis. You’ll also be required to lead delivery of the brakes refinement quality in service for one or more allocated projects.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As the successful candidate for this role, you’ll support testing at various locations, generally within the UK and Spain. It will therefore be essential that you have a full UK cat. B driving licence.
You’ll need to have knowledge of brake system design and the ability to identify the specifications that influence brake attributes, and you’ll need to have an understanding of related chassis systems (such as suspension structures) which will be essential for target negotiations. It is likely you’ll have been involved with vehicle test and subjective evaluation, and you’ll be a strong leader with experience of leading issue resolution within cross-functional teams and working in a test and development environment.
